Cooked sweet corn has significant antioxidant activity, which has been suggested to reduce the chance of heart disease and cancer, although this has not been definitively proven in practice. Cooked sweet corn also releases increased levels of ferulic acid, which provides health benefits, such as battling cancer. "When you cook it, you release it, and what you are losing in vitamin C, you are gaining in ferulic acid and total antioxidant activity.
Ingredients
Sweet Corn: 1 cup
Dry Fruits: 20 grams
Cova: ½ cup
Milk: ½ litre
Sugar: ½ cup
Ghee: 2 table spoon
Ilachi Powder: ½ table spoon
Preparing Method:
1. Take a kadai, add ghee, fry the dry fruits and keep aside.
2. Cook the sweet corn in cooker with 2 to 3 cups of water up to 3 whistles.
3. Let the sweet corn cool and grind in a mixer. Don’t make it paste. Just grind to make the corns very small pieces.
4. Fry the sweet corn paste in kadai with ghee. Add milk and boil the milk.
5. Add sugar, cova and ilachi powder. Mix well. Cook for few minutes.
6. Finally add dry fruits and few more cooked sweet corns.
Tasty Sweet corn ready. Take it hot or cool.
